As much as I love getting dressed up and going to functions and events, when they are close together I sometimes start to stress a bit about what I'm going to wear, whether it will suit the event and what the weather will be like and whether my outfit will be appropriate.
So I make a list of where I,m going and start to co-ordinate my outfit at least a couple of days out so to avoid last minute panic. I lay out first the dress or pants on the floor or bed and then start to create my look by choosing shoes, jewellery, tops, jackets etc by laying them together and seeing what looks best.
I'm not afraid to ask for an opinion from someone I trust has good fashion before I start to delete items and finishing with my choosen outfit.
I'll lay the outfit out and then on the day, all I have to worry about is hair and make-up. I find I can get ready in half an hour if I do this and I don't get flustered or anxious"that I have nothing to wear!!"
Tonight I have a jewellery promotional event for Bartlett Jewellers and a wine night fundraiser for Cystic Fybrosis. Saturday is Ladies Day at the Races. Sunday is the Vintage Flash Sale a tArtisans on Flinders and Monday is my fashion and styling night. Big 4 days
So I have to be organize!!!
Tonight I have decided to wear a Bardot gobalt blue stretch mini with long sleeves. Because it is short and it is winter I will be wearing opague stockings with platform boots to create a streamline effect. Wearing boots with a short skirt or dress with bare legs can cut you in half and make you look shorter than you are. I'm 5"3 so I need all the help I can get in that department. Because there is so much blue in the dress and long sleeves I am wearing a long necklace to break up the colour a bit and create length. If the dress had short sleeves I would be happy to wear a short chuncky necklace.
Check out what I will be wearing over the next 3 days. Champagne in hand, should be an awesome weekend
