After enetering a local styling competition, I realized the look they where after was of a young 18+ girl. Definitely not a 48 year old woman, no matter how stylish or youngish I looked. I was encouraged by so many women over 30 and even younger to keep going and realize my dream of styling women of all ages, sizes and budgets.
I wanted to promote local budding designers, local boutiques, buying and fashion events around the region and post about all the things that I love and give inspiration to women on how to dress well on any budget and regardless of their age.
I wanted to make shopping a happy,fun experience, not filled with angst and self-loathing. I wanted to make my ladies feel and look wonderful after 2 hours with me. The amazing thing is those women have become friends.
So much support, friendship, help and kindness has flowed through to me since I started.
I have started a beautiful little community that is growing everyday and gives me great joy. I get to share what I love, what I buy and how I live. Sometimes there is self-doubt. Will they like what I post?
Is it good enough?
It is a risk to take at 48!!!! Opening myself up to you all, but I have to say that this year has been an absolute revelation and joy!!!!
