Why do we all love Audrey? What is it about her that has made her such an iconic figure and lasted through the decades? There are so many famous beauties, actors and stars but only a few become icons.
She is physically beautiful but I think there is more than just the physical that has made her so memorable. Her beauty comes from within. She had a magnetic smile and kind eyes. She was approachable and a survivor. In her last years she worked tirelessly for  UNICEF as a goodwill ambassador.
Audrey Hepburn became one of the great style icons of the 20th century. She changed the look of the movie star. Early in her career, she refused to conform to the fashion for the more voluptuous figure, never wearing '"padding" of any kind. She conveyed qualities of innocence and directness that made audiences love and admire her.
So even though we think her now as beautiful and perfect, we must remember that she wasn't thought of that way in her early career but she refused to change. She believed in the uniqueness of herself.
So too must we. So many times we focus on the "Bits" we don't like and constantly compare ourselves to the airbrushed celebrities that invade social media. We need to focus on the things that make us truly beautiful and unique.
 Look in the mirror and find at least five thing that you physically like about yourself and five things that you like about you as a person. Write them in lipstick on the mirror so every time you look in that mirror and start to berate yourself for your flaws, you will see in bright red the positives that make you. Focus on those and draw attention to those qualities in your dress and your manner.
It is the truly unique people in life that actually stand out, not the ones that all strive to look the same and conform to an ideal, which by the way constantly changes in our fast paced world.
